I've had this sleeping bag for a couple of months thinking how could I review a cold weather bag when its blazing hot outside? But I realized there is more to explore than how warm a sleeping bag might be and that assessment can wait. But at this point, I can offer a more or less tepid endorsement. This is a lightweigh bag that can, with effort, be recompressed back into the too small stuff sack that comes with it. But I spent a bit of time and effort to make it fit back in the bag. I was imagining how hard thkis process would be on a frosty morning while hunched over the ground. The weird two zipper arrangement took me a few minutes to figure out, and again, I am glad I did not wait till I was out camping to figure out how the zipper for the bottom works. I get that this bag is made to zip together with its twin, so I see why it is designed the way it is. Also, being able to unzip the bottom will make it easier to clean out leaves, dirt, lost socks, etc. What puzzled me most is the stated length of the bag. Finally it dawned on me that while the bag is 84.6 inches, that includes the hood. And this point is clearly shown in the photos for this bag. But I'm 6'1" and feel like this bag is not going to work for me. The problem is that there is no means of cinching it closed at the top, and as the bag minus the hood extension just reaches my shoulders, well, it is clear Qezer is going to give me the cold shoulder. It's just a bit too short for me, so be forewarned.I cannot imagine being toasty warm at 32 degrees with this bag, but I think you would roast in it during the summer. So what we have here is basically a two season bag, suitable for cool nights unless supplemented with a wool blanket or other extra cover.A bit longer bag, a bit bigger stuff sack, and a $79 price are needed for a higher rating. What you should know:- It weighs in at 1.26kg/2.8 lbs. with the compression sack. So it’s light enough for the fill, and within (general) range of the advertised weight.- It fluffs up significantly once out of the sack and with a few shakes. Based on the fill and fluffiness of the down, I expect this bag to be cozy around (and perhaps a bit below) 30 deg F. It’s currently averaging 95 deg. F in Ohio (with the same humidity level) so I can’t really comment on the temperature rating beyond that yet. And sleeping bags are always a mystery until tested anyway, but these seem well filled and fluffy. Also the neck-level air-brake on the inside bottom is a nice touch.- The quality of the bag seems good. The zippers are plastic with metal pulls (typical), the fill distribution is even, and I’ve found no stitching flaws.- The size is good. I’m 6’1” 270lbs., with broad shoulders. I have no concerns on length, and the width is adequate. Sleeping bags are typically a little tight in the chest/shoulders for me…some of which I just can’t use….but I feel okay in this bag.- I generally prefer the rectangular style over the mummy style, because sometime I just need to separate my feet/legs. …and the (double) bottom zippers are nice for ventilation.- The sack needs to be a bigger. The compression straps on the stuff sack are useless, since you need to completely compress the bag, say two prayers, then break out the Ouija board and conduct a séance to get the bag back into the sack. …I’ll likely be buying/using a bigger sack for this bag.Bottom Line:Quality and good-sized bag…fill and temp rating also seems “on-par”. …Would give the 5th star if the sack was a little bigger/better.I have a stupid number of synthetic and down sleeping bags and topquilts with an intimate knowledge of their design and performance standards. This bag is every bit as effective as a name brand bag but costs way less. Importantly, its made from a lightweight and breathable yet calendered fabric, which is a process that makes it much more resistant to down loss. It has high quality zippers that feature anti-snag guards with an amply insulated baffle behind that to keep cold air from seeping in. The temp rating is accurate as long as you understand how to use the bag PROPERLY, what factors effect its ability to trap your body heat and your bodies ability to create it. The only negative that I found was that it has sewn through down chambers instead of baffled , which is a major limiting factor in its lower effective temp limit. Other than that though, I found no loose threads, runs in the fabric, under insulated down chambers or defects at all. That said, I definitely recommend this bag based on its performance and lower cost. Hope this helps ~ ChesapeakeThis is a well-made product that should last you for quite some time if taken care of. It's lightweight and packs down quite small. That said, for a down sleeping bag, this is on the inexpensive side, so you're not getting the best product out there. The loft isn't the best and the fill is just okay. It's a good bag, but I don't think you'd want to use it in "cold weather." Stick to the higher end of its temperature rating and I'll think you'll do fine. If you're backpacking in the summer, this would be a good one to have.4万円位するブランドシュラフはコンパクトになるし、冬にも使える暖かさをキープできる性能なのは間違いないですが、そんなの家族の人数分買うことは難しいのが庶民系キャンパーの実態ではなかろうか?
